Enhancing regioselectivity via tuning the microenvironment in heterogeneous hydroformylation of olefins
2020, Journal of CatalysisCitation Excerpt :These ligands, however, required tedious multistep synthesis routes, and the presence of trace impurities greatly influenced their catalytic activity and stability. Similarly, although supported inorganic catalysts can be fabricated facilely and have been investigated for hydroformylation [44–54], they still suffer from low regioselectivity (<50%) of linear/branched aldehydes. In 2016, Zhang and co-workers developed an unprecedented single-atom (SA) Rh catalyst supported on ZnO, which realized an excellent turnover number of 40,000 within 12 h, though it suffered from low regioselectivity (50%) of linear aldehyde [55].
