dc.description.abstract	Since the publication of the Recommendations for a non-sexist use of the Italian language by Sabatini (1987), interest in the relationship between language use and gender equity in Italy has witnessed dramatically polar reactions swinging at different times from fierce and fiery debate to total neglect. This paper presents research, teaching, and dissemination activities done at Ca’ Foscari in the last fifteen years, targeting different populations of stake holders and contributing to a sound debate on language and gender in the Italian social context.
