dc.description.abstract	Drawing widely from his deepest passions, Paolo Maurensig builds his intricate narrative architectures, often characterised by the multiplication and interlocking of story plans with a frequent alternation of narrative voices, starting from a fundamental thematic core that constitutes the main track of development of the story and at the same time a parameter by which to measure the entire fictional experience. In Canone inverso, a 1996 novel, the story revolves around a mysterious violin and the theme of music penetrates deeply into the two protagonists, not only to condition their life events but also to irremediably mark their essence and inner dimension.
