ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. More specifically, we aim to make the reader aware of the relevant definitions as well as the Machine Learning and Deep Learning jargon that largely characterizes the literature. In addition, we provide an overview of some of the actual and popular applications of these powerful technologies in different fields and domains.
